The word for "mountain", if you read commentaries to
what Arnaud said, seems to be related to the same root
meaning "high"
It may be related be related to English rise, raise
--but I'm only guessing
If you're looking for an economic meaning for Arya
--if it meant "high (born)" it probably meant a caste
similar to the Brahmins who lorded it over the others
and enjoyed the good life at the expense of everyone
else
