The AROMANIAN FORMS ARE :
sg. stran'iu pl. stran'e 'clothes'
(Papahagi)

Papahagi indicates also an 'Unknown etymology' '< ?')

This lead us to a COMMON ROMANIAN *straniu
Now Piotr, you can forget Slavic strojiti for ever, as source
of /straie/...:)

In 'the same' direction we have :
Alb. shtroj& < PAlb/Dacian? *stra:nia: < PIE *strh3-eh1-nyo/eh2
Alb. shtroj < PAlb/Dacian? *stra:nia < PIE *strh3-eh1-n-yo
Alb. shtrova (aorist of shtroj) < PAlb *stra:wa

We have here a Subtratual word
