This is not an argument, is simple way of seeing. The same argumentation
si valid If I sustain the slavic word is loaned from Romanian. The
fonetic aspect fits, the meaning fits. To me it seems there is not clear
if this is a slavic loan because the slavic "a" is mentained as "a" or
"ã" in Romanian ( "ã" when unstressed). Yet, refering to Albanian
"stron", I think this is NOT cognate with Romanian "strai" but IMHO with
Romanian "ashterne" with the same meaning. The meaning fits, the
phonetic fits. DEX gives "ashterne" as beeing the Latin word asterene (
< Lat. sterno ).
