Maybe Demiraj's derivation is the best one, if we leave aside -dH-,
for, as we may see -s > -th phonetic mutation is common in PAlb:
*aghos > Alb ankth `fear' < *anghos, cf. Gr. akhos `get a fright'
*bhoso- `naked' > Alb bath in zbath `naked', cf. Sl bos.
*dheub/beudh > Alb bythë < bussaH2, cf. Sr-Cr dupe `buttocks,
backside hole'
*dhe:i- `to suck' > Alb djathë `cheese', Greek Albanian dither `id.'
Probably from *dheis-
*gWas- > Alb ngath-të `lazy', OIr ba:s `death'
*o:us `ear' > Alb vath `earring'
So, IE *bHus- > PAlb *pus- > Alb puth 'to kiss'.
Other example could be Rom cursa > Alb kurth 'trap'.
