From what I have been reading, it is other way round- the Greek alphabet owes it to Etruscans.

The origins of Etruscans is still a mystery, at least there is no single opinion as to where they have come from and who they share their culture with , in the ancient civilizations.

The Lithuvians and European group that share commonality with Indian elements, either mythology,  writing scripts or sciences and arts such as Astronomy and Astrology,  have not got them directly from India- some of the highly Indianized elements are missing even in an indirect way.

The Indians have shared their culture and knowledge with some ancient civilizations either through migrations- for eg., the Mayan culture owes their highly developed geometry, architecture and astronomical knowledge to their  subcontinent origins (who says so- No scholar worth his salt today will support this, right?)

That Mayans belong to the Daitya Tribe of the subcontinent is specifically clear on two counts- their civilization is contemporary with the traditional dating of MBh and second, their astronomy is venusian based , just  as the Daityas of Puranic literature adopted.

On the other hand, if you discuss Lanka,  Aryabhatta, who is certainly a historical figure identified it with a place on the equator. which coincides with the Ramayan's descriptions of  Lanka being 800 kms  or so from the main land.

These people, probably what the Greek call as Anatolia today, have migrated to various places and have shared their civilization with the neo world.  The Anatolia hypothesis generally failed only because the indian connection is generally overlooked or not explored with the seriousness it deserved.

I would be happy if some scholar  tries to examine the current linguistic, genetic and other similar theories on the above basis.

It answers many unanswered questions till date.
