The list of peoples conquered by Ermanaric (Getica 116) is taken
from a Gothic Wanderungssage. Not that it means Gothic etymology for
each of the names (it has been proposed for some though, e.g.
Inaunxis < Go. *Inahsuggeis = Gr. hAMAXOBIOI [Th. Grienberger.
Ermanariks Völker. ZfdA, 1895. P. 164]), just a Gothic mediation.
The record is pretty imperfect. Looks like the ending -ns in Merens,
Mordens is Gothic acc. pl. flexion. Wulfilan *Mairans, *Maurdans -?

Ualarauans (NOT acc. pl.! :)
