The idea is that, in some languages at least, dG > dH (or equivalent),
so yielding middle endings *-(o)mV(s)(dH)ai and *-(o)dHwoi, with for
example the following (partially remodelled) reflexes:

Greek:
1pl. -(o)me(s)tha
2pl. -(e)sthe

Sanskrit
1pl. -(a:)mahe
2pl. -(a)dhve
