There are some, but we lurk. In the past i've noticed that women's
posts didn't get responded as readily, that could be a factor.
I've been on for many years, but my name (Maxine for long) doesn't
ring female. I'm not a credentialed linguist, but like to soak up the
knowledge (filtering like mad, of course, given the amount of
speculation). So much of this information, especially the synthesis
of linguistic evidence for prehistory with archaeology and so on, is
hard to find.
