Between vowels xY>y and xW>v ( > w in most) so xY (h1) wouldn't give
the correct forms. There are many examples of these changes, the most
widespread may be those like:

*doxW+ 'give'
*doxW+yexY/ixY+ > *dovixY+ > Italic *dowi:- > L duim (opt. > subj.)

Examples with xY>y include:

*kYwax+ 'swell'
*kYuxexY+ 'be swollen/pregnant'
*kYuxexYe+ > *kYuxeye+

*rexYis > *reyis 'possession'
*rexYios > *rexYyos '(gen.)'

V u xW C and V i xY C (h3 and h1) are unusual because of the
relationship of u-W and i-Y; otherwise V u/i x() > V x() in a
syllable. Also in:

*seuxW+ 'push' >

sèuxW+V sèuxW+è seuxW+seuxW+(e)ti
sèuxW+V seuxW+è seuxW+seuxW+(e)ti
etc.
sèu-xWV su-xWè seuxW-sew-xW,-ti
sèu-xWV su-xWè seu-sew-xW,-ti
sèu-xWV su-xWè seu-sew-xW,-ti
sèu-vV su-vè . seu-sew-xW,-ti
