Estonian kana "hen" and kael "neck" and the 'mot populaire' vowel /a/
of *kan- worry me. Both IE and Uralic are newcomers at the Baltic and
replaced related cultures. How Baltic *gaud- (PIE what?) would fit in
I don't know.
