But then there is no need to resort to Khowar in particular. *tr.s-nó-
is widely attested in Iranian (PIr. *tr.s^na- 'thirst' > Av. tars^na-,
Khot. ttarra-, MPer. tis^n), *tr.'s-náh2 in Indic. The formation is
entirely transparent, like *tr.s-tó-, and I see no reason to connect it
directly with *tr.s-ú-. If anything, -ú- adjectives are connected with
those in *-ró- (check the archives for detailed discussions of the
connection -- the problem has been raised here before).
