I probably misremembered that. What about *swergh+ > TA särk 'illness'?

Also, why would the second s in säksäk be changed from s. in the
first place? Doesn't s.käs.t seem to indicate *sweks > *s.weks. >
etc. similar to RUKI? The existence of s.pät could allow for analogy
even if *säk came before s.äk (also s > s. analogy in 'one'?).
