The similarity between of Indo-Aryan languages like Sanskrit and
Iranian languages like Avestan and the dissimilarity between
Indo-Aryan languages and Dravidian languages are not assumptions
but facts observable by anyone who can read a textbook grammar
of these languages. And you can't legitimize facts, unwittingly,
needlessly or otherwise, you try to explain them. Otherwise we're
back at the inquisition.
