I mean: PIE *h2e- > Latin a (PIE *h2ep => Latin *ap- (see also Latin
amnis > as another example for such a phonetism )

Do not say => "nothing to do" 'so quickly' : please see first
Demiraj on Leiden :

"Albanian form: ap, jap {3} [verb] (tg) {1}

Meaning: to give

Gramm. forms: Present: (j)ap, (j)ep (2/3s) {2}

Page in Demiraj AE: 79

IE reconstruction: h2ep-

Meaning of the IE root: to reach, get at/to, capture

Page in Pokorny: 50"

that proposed h2ep- (making reference to the same PIE root in
discussion with a change of the meaning in 'the inverse direction')

Where you find a reference that put jap under the *h3ep- root?
