Seems that "ry-ba" is an abstractum in -ba, like: Zal-ba, goz-ba,
svad-ba, veZ-ba, Zur-ba etc. If Slavic y < *u:, the most plausible
explanation would be the root in *reu(H)- 'to smash, knock down, tear
out etc.'. I exclude here the root *reu- 'to below'.
Just a guessing.
