As does the fact that you omit the aspiration of the initial stop :).
The correct PPGmc. reconstruction is *g^Heh1-. I wouldn't say that the
relatives of Gmc. *Ge:- are virtually unknown outside Germanic, though
those of *GanG- are rare (but cf. Skt. jaMhas- 'moving, course', which
may point to *g^HengH-es-, and there are possible Baltic cognates).
