do not have the necessary audio software on my computer to be able to
listen to the vowels here. I guess I will have to try to find someone
of Swedish origin here in Ottawa, Canada and ask them to please recite
all the Swedish vowels for me. But it's hard to find people of
Swedish origin in Ottawa, especially more recent generations.

The files are .wav files. Almost any Windows machine should be able
to play them, without additional software. Perhaps you use Linux as I
do, for the internet.

It's interesting, I hear a different vowel between the male and the
female voice in some instances, especially for y and u.

Actually audio files would be quite useful and interesting for PIE
sounds. Perhaps there would be room in the 'Files' area, if someone
had the inclination to provide some.
