In view of Lith. stvérti 'grab, grasp, seize' (and its nest) it would
be legal to look for the reflexes of *stvIre,ti as well. Up to now I've
been able to come up only with *stre,ti 'stick' and *strIme, 'stirrup',
which don't look very happy.
