Do you mean that the metal oxide is flaking off?

A. From the metre, it seems that i > y /_V and u > v / _V have
occurred since composition.

B. There's evidence (mostly metrical) of laryngeals in the original.

C. (I may be wrong on this one.) Why does _duhita:_ scan as
long-short-long?

When does the xxxx years end? One frequently reads of regional
variations in pronunciation.
