I'm 'more and more determinate' to see a "voiced-p" in Albanian borë
so finally to assume also that Albanian dë-borë 'snow' and Romanian
zãpadã 'snow' are One and the Same word: both forms containing the
word <<apa>> 'water' inside.

NOTE: "The Falling Down" Etymology proposed for both words (for
Romanian 'zapada' a Slavic "falling down" was proposed and for
Albanian 'dëborë' an inherited "falling down" (sic!) was proposed=>
all these should be 'finally' abandoned :)

Dacian *apa:-da-ra ~ *dz-apa:-da-ra < *h2ep-h3n.h2-dHo-
ro "'alike'/'a kind' (->see -ro) of 'standing/'firm'>solid' (see -
>dHo) 'water(s)' (see *h2ep-h3n.h2-)" 'flowing water'

Romanian Derivation:
---------------------
PIE *h2ep-h3n.h2-dHo-ro >Dacian *dz- + ap(b)a-da:-ra > *dzapa:dra
that will regularly give PRomanian zãpadrã > zãpadã (PRom -drV/trV >
Rom -dV/-tV see Balkan Latin fratre > Rom frate

Albanian Derivation:
---------------------
PIE *h2ep-h3n.h2-dHo-ro > PAlb/Dialectal-Dacian *dz- + a(p)ba-da:-ra
> [a:>o ; d>zero in multi-syllabic words] >Alb dëborë 'swnow'

also without prefix:

PIE *h2ep-h3n.h2-dHo-ro > Dacian *a(p)ba-da:-ra > [a: > o; a-/non-
stressed > zero; d>zero in multi-syllabic words] > Alb. borë 'snow'

As you can see above to many 'patterns' and 'rules' fit 'so well' =>
so 'it's impossible' not be true....:).

[Without 'the faith' that Albanian and Romanian-Substratum are
genetically linked (both 'derived' from the Dacian language) would
been never possible to arrive to this etymology (I mean 'not for me
here & now' but 'nobody can arrive to the right etymology in this
particular case without having that faith') => and I say this to
respond to those that consider that there is 'no link' betwen 'the
faith' and the 'the science']

P.S.:
I think that the PAlb/Dacian *dz- prefix is now demonstrated (I
remember that it was rejected by Piotr in the past)

Some examples:
a) Albanian borë 'swnow' < *apba-da-ra versus dëborë > dz-apba-da-ra
b) Albanian dhelpër 'fox' < *dz-welp-ina
c) Albanian dhemjë 'caterpillar' < *dz-o:mida: versus Albanian
vemje 'id.' < PAlb o:mida: (See Romanian omidã 'id.')
