For gHWr-:
in http://ling.cornell.edu/Weiss/CGL_16.1_Consonant_Clusters.pdf

c. *-gWHr- > -br-
But *gWHr came out as b before r at least medially.
*h1ê(h2)gHWr-iyo- ‘drunk’ > êbrius. Cf. Grk. ne:phon ‘sober’ < *N-h1(h2)gHWôn ‘notdrinking’,
Hitt. ekuzzi ‘drinks’.10
*dHegWHris ‘fever’ > febris. Cf. Grk. tephra ‘ashes’, Ved. dáhati ‘burns’.

Could be the original form of *negWHro- "kidney" a neuter *negWHr-;-n-, analogous to *yekWr(t)-yekWn- "liver"?

I wanted (but I didn't arrive yet) to add this example *negWh-r-
'reins' as an additional argument for the existence of a PIE root *negW
(h)- and of the -ro suffix.

As you know the 'object' is 'dark': *negWh-r- (but its nature is
different).

Despite Piotr, assertions: there are not roots nekWt- or negWhr- in
PIE . -r- and -t- are extensions (even they are ancient ones)
