-eus is a common ending in Greek. My question was: what its origin? It doesnt imply necessarily that all these eus-names have a common origin. This suffix may have more than one source.

If it occurs in the literature, it is not wrong.  It's not in L&S - but it
is at Colossians 4:16.  So it exists.  It is of course a late formation -
but this is one reason for my question - how do you distinguish late
formations from inherited ones?

Of course.  And this is the reason for my second question.  Can you
distinguish -eus  words of different origin?  Or do you just assume they are
all the same, except for Zeus?
