I don't think it's nonsense. Alb. sjell corresponds formally to Skt.
carati, Gk. pelo:, pelomai (Dor. telomai) and Lat. colo:, all from
*kWele/o- < *kWélh1-e/o-. Intervocalic *l, if not palatalised, gives the
"dark" lateral <ll> in Albanian. Cf. Gk. sko:los, Alb. hell 'skewer, spit'.
