Thank you very much for this. These quotations were
very informative (for me, anyway, as I was unaware
that things had taken such a weird turn; I'd say
_disturbing_ if it weren't all so ridiculous).
Such blind Pan-Hindu views are of course another
manifestation of navel-gazing, at which India, for
some reason, seems very adept. And such views, as
well, are arrogant nationalism disguised as
intellectual curiosity.
But remember, nationalists greatly loathe and fear
laughter. Perhaps such a response is ultimately the
best.
