I'm surprised he didn't lay into the maps, which show Malaya as
Thai-speaking (well, no more specific than Daic) rather than
Austronesian-speaking! On the other hand, with such maps, you're on a
hiding to nothing, especially as you often want to depict different
times in different parts.
