The Infamous Disk... [Phaistos]

I'm reading a rather interesting book by Steven Roger Fischer, telling
about how he cracked the code of the Phaistos Disk in 1984, revealing
it to be an Eastern dialect of Greek (albeit ANCIENT), and how he
decoded Rongo-Rongo, the written language on Easter Island. I checked,
and it's a real language, strangely enough.

The reconstructed meaning is a call to war against the Carians (the
native, non-PIE Greeks, I think), calling Cretans, Greeks, Libians,
Idaians, and people of Punt (the land between Libya and Egypt) to come
to Nax[os], and "deliver me of my great afflictions" ("E me te-mo-si|
ma pi-mo-ne| pa-si." - "E:, me temosai ma pi:mone pa:sis."
(extrapolated in forms "closer to the classical Greek)

If you want, I can put up the decoding, the expanded version and
English translation of the expanded version. But does this seem hoax-like?

Has anyone read his 1988 writing "Evidence for Hellenic Dialect in the
Phaistos Disk?"
