Assuming the -h2- is a suffix (and the -n- a present stem infix ?),
this might be related to

from *mnt-tó ? *met-tó ?

I guess in that direction to follow up on my earlier guess that
*dm(s)-poina- > Marsian (Central Europe) 'tamfana', chief goddess of
the Marsi. If correct, that language would have stayed in the state
where the ablaut vowel was preserved as -a-, or -a- was regenerated
by -e- and -o- falling together (but they did have a king
Mallovendus).
