I agree that the rule (that any non-initial capital letter
is an modifier of preceding letter) is very elegant,
but it seems to me that the other system
(where the aspiration modifier is "h"
and the laryngeals are "H") is more widespread
(for traditional reasons, because the "h" was used for aspiration
before the laryngeals were discovered),
so the usual notation is

b bh d dh gW gWh g^ g^h H1 H2 H3 j kW k^ l m n p r s t w

rather than

b bH d dH gW gWH g^ g^H h1 h2 h3 j kW k^ l m n p r s t w

The confusion is possible only when "b", "d" or "g"
is followed by a laryngeal of unmarked color,
so some authors write such laryngeal as "Hx".
