IMHO there is the root d-j-w "sky";
thematic deiw-o-z "a being living on the sky, a god"
(as oposed to (d)g^em-o-z "a being living on the earth")
and athematic Djew-z "personified Sky",
Djew-z PH2ter-z (>PH2te:r) "Father the Sky".
