apparntly the "a" was in fact the one who made the demonstrative. I got
to think about the Lithuanian and Albanian compunds "this day" " this
night". Rom. has here "azi" which appears to be "a" (this) and "zi"
(day). If true, then I guess this "a" was meaing "this one, this special
one" . Thus *ja (she) but "a+*ja"= this one she which exactly the
meaning is.
