OK. So Germanic has a word that means "wolf" and also
metaphorically "criminal", which metaphorical sense it also has in
Slavic and Finnish, which is similar to a word which means "wolf" in
Iranian languages. I am glad that I know that there was no contact
between those languages and Iranian, because then I'd be confused and
tend to believe it was a loan.
