It should be mentioned, that in Moravian dialects of Czech and in colloquial Slovak, we have forms such as jajo (pl. jaja), jajco (vs. vajco), jajce (vs. vejce).

The prothetic v- is a strange phenomenon, indeed. It's still very productive in Central Bohemia (the area of Prague), so we have the word "okno", "oko" in the literary Czech and in Moravian dialects, wherease "vokno", "voko" in Bohemian dialects. Note that the prothetic v- accurs mainly (if not only) befor o-.

There are also clear distinctions between Bohemian and Moravian dialects of Czech, concerning the prothetic j-. We have Bohemian (and literary) jes^t^ vs. Moravian es^te^ or es^c^e, Bohemian (and literary) jestli vs. Moravian es((t)l)i. The diffusion of the dialectal elements and features is still very active. Perhaps, we'll have to wait for the dialectological atlas of Czech and Slovak that's currently under construction.
