[aU] from MHG /u:/ is retained in Tyrol, Salzburg , Carinthia, Styria, Upper Austria . Eastern Austria usually has [AQ] with the final monophthong found predominantly in and around Vienna as [Q:] or [O:]. [a:f] is usually Upper Bavaria in Bavaria-proper.
