In these abstract names pheido:, peitho: there are sure IE etymologie, *bHeid-, *bHeidH-, but the anthroponyms remain unexplained.
You can add to this list Io: and Ino:. Io: is usually explained as an argive word io: meaning "moon", which is very similar to Egyptian yah.
 
-o:i < *-osi: ? Cf. khreo:(gen. khreoos), beside khreos (gen.khreeos)

Names usually are.

Common nouns like pheido:, peitho: and khreo: have solid IE
root etymologies, although I don't think there are any
parallel oy-stems outside Greek for these roots.  Unless
peitho: (oy-stem) and fide:s (ey-stem?) can be equated
somehow.
