I've polled about ten of my colleagues now (all native speakers from various
parts of Lithuania, one of them with a bachelor degree in Lithuanian
philology). None of them is aware of <bry~z^is> (everyone is aware of
<bre:~z^is> 'scratch, notch; line', of course), so a natural lexicographer's
question to you would be: where are you from in Lithuania?
