I was referring back to a discussion with Piotr earlier on the
occurrence of the names 'Segestes' (cognate with similar names in
other IE branches) and 'Segimerus' in Arminius' immediate family,
which Kuhn sees as the rise of a fashion of Germanic dithematic names
among the Nordwestblock speakers following an infiltration of
Germanic people and mores (while still following a rule of similar
proterotheme for members of the same family). I was wondering
if 'SiGar' could be derived directly from a names of the type *seges-
(Kuhn proposes both a -st and a -s suffix for Nordwestblock names.
