To quote our rules of conduct,
"Since this list is devoted to Indo-European studies, the discussion of
extraneous or too general topics (e.g. other language families, the
origin of language, long-range comparison etc.) will be discouraged."
There are better places for exchanging thoughts on Nostratic (and other
long-range superfamilies, even if they possibly contain IE) and Etruscan
(when discussed for its own sake).

As for Etruscan, I think it presents enough interesting problems to fill
a specially dedicated forum. In the present circumstances I can't
moderate an Etruscan list myself, but if anyone volunteers to run such a
forum, I'll be among the first subscribers.
