Thank you, Marco. If it is an ancient Caucasian loanword, could you be more
specific, please, and give me some examples, if possible? (By Caucasian, did
you mean some of the NE, NW Cauc. languages, their ancient relatives, or
Kartv.?)

Does anybody know the way it got to Czech, when, where, etc.?

So, Etruscans adopted the word from a Caucasian source, too, right?

Something like this: a Caucasian source > Etruscan (Tyrrhenian?) > (Latin?
Greek? >) various IE languages ???

What about Etr. lasa? Even an older loan?
