In colloquial Modern Polish, the vocative (in <-u>) of the hypocoristic
forms of male first nouns (Krzysiu, Grzechu, Jasiu, Stachu, etc.) frequently
functions as the nominative (Jasiu dzwonil/ do mnie wczoraj 'Jack phoned me
yesterday').
