Hmm, I hope it serves the economy well that employers hire these
morons for their coding projects but people with common sense are a
dying breed (mostly due to malnutrition and tainted macaroni and
cheese products).

However, in defense of the autistic savant who coded that email prog,
I doubt (s)he could have predicted the strange use of double-slashes
outside of urls. Yahoo still takes the prestigious "Duh! Award" for
prohibiting the use of '@' outside of emails when most other people
recognize its other applications in everyday messaging.

And then don't get me started on "smileys" and their textual equivalents
that can also be distorted by other programs that try to make things
more visual for the braindead masses.
