No, I didn't actually, but thanks for exploring that path. If *He- >
e-/i- is a verbal prefix, then of course it makes no sense to search
for it in <íbai>. Muddled thinking. I'll settle with an alternation
*ib-(*ip-)/*be- (which is pretty much the way that complicated-
looking water root appears in other language families.
