a cicali= to bother, to annoy someone
the whole verb is "cicali" and I do not see any reason to conect it
with "ciccum" just because of "cic-".
very suggestive your way to bother someone but not in an ordinary way,
more, to bother someone with "small things" for seeing there something
"ciccum":-) Original indeed....

you suggest here an inappropiate Romanian word for considering later
as basis for a new assumption. I don't claim here the Iberian words
are derived from Basque, I just point out that "cicali" is not related
to the family, thus the argument "the widespread in Italian and
Romanian" is in this manner no valid argument. Italian could have
borrowed the word from Spanish as well.(it is wellknown the
inter-romance loans between the Spanish-French-Italian)
