Not. Basque handi (also haundi) comes from *and- plus
adjectival suffix *-i. I'm pretty sure the root *and must
be a borrowing, because old *nd/*nt gives Basque /d/ (e.g.
*s^un- "to smell" -> sudurr "nose" (< *s^un + tur/dur).
