This is, of course, pseudo Egyptian hieroglyphics,
Peter, and it's someone's name (this kind of jewelry
was popular a while back). It's been a while since I
did this stuff, but the top row (I think) reads rather
prosaically as "Tom." I can't make out the rest; the
image is blurred.

Just took a gambit for fun!
