"Dominica dies" for Sunday originated in church Latin and is attested in
the New Testament, at Revelations 1.10: fui in spiritu in dominica die
et audivi post me vocem magnam tamquam tubae.

It's got nothing to do with "A feminine Lord", it's simply a feminine
adjective for the (here) feminine noun "dies"
