Szemerenyi isn't any better. He'll make a claim, or state that
someone else's claim is wrong, and only backs it up with a reference
to some journal in a foreign language (though this is partly because
his book was originally in German). The best thing to do is read as
many authors as possible and form your own opinion, because generally
an author won't point out problems with his own theories.
