It's not a noun/verb question, or even strictly a pronounceability
question. I'm nost sure which gon- was meant, but if it's from Pokorny's
(1) *g^en&- "erzeugen", there's a causative *g^on-éy-e/o- made from it.

Only thing that worries me is why the Skt. causative is janáyati and not
*ja:náyati. Shouldn't the laryngeal have been deleted in *gOnh1-éy-e/o-?
