/e/, /E/ does not get lost after /r/ but it became "�"

my two cents about "grevis". there is no need for this supposed change of
you grevis > grEvu > grievu < greu
The word mentioned here "grewis" _is_ actualy Rom. "greoi"= hardly, I
assume "greu" is a regresive derivativ because here too there is no way to
loose the /i/.
