PIE tree and fruit names

In the IE languages was there some suffix that distinguish tree names and their respective fruits.

For example, Latin has female gender for trees and neuter for fruits: malus "apple-tree" and malum "apple", pirus "pear-tree" and pirum "pear". In Portuguese we have the suffix -eira/o for trees: pe^ra "pear", pereira "pear-tree".
Is there another example for another IE languages? Any common formation? Any sign that PIE had names for many trees and their respective fruits?
