Sorry, that should be ayúj-, given by Pokorny as 'ohne Genossen, nicht
paarweise'.

What does a:-yunak(t)- mean?

I could only find one a:yuj- listed in the Cologne Digital Sanskrit
Lexicon:

Entry Ayuj
Meaning 1 P. (1. sg. %{A4-yunajmi} RV. iii , 50 , 2) A1. (pf. 3.
pl. %{-yuyujre4} RV. v , 58 , 7) to yoke or join to RV. ; to join , fasten
S3ak. ; to accommodate with ; to appoint BhP.: Caus. %{-yojayati} , to join
together ; to form , constitute BhP. Kum.

Since that doesn't mean "to *un*join", I would think it contains the prefix
a:- (prep. 'on'; preverb 'near', reverses the meaning of ga:m- 'go' ->
a:-ga:m- 'come'; da: 'give' -> a:-da:- 'take'), and is thus irrelevant.
